ARE carry out research, produce policy briefings and deliver interventions and activities that aim to improve outcomes and opportunities for young people whose life chances are affected by the inequalities in education, training and the criminal justice system.

Job Overview: Seeking a Programme Director to oversee ARE’s funded programmes, secure new opportunities, and ensure effective delivery. This is a critical leadership role within ARE, with a strong focus on programme strategy, funding, and stakeholder engagement.
As Programme Director, you will:
- Lead and oversee programme delivery, ensuring alignment with ARE’s mission.
- Develop and implement programme strategies, improving impact and efficiency.
- Secure funding through grants and contracts, ensuring financial sustainability.
- Build and maintain relationships with funders, employers, and stakeholders.
- Manage programme budgets, tracking income and expenditure.
- Line manage a team of four staff members, supporting their development.
- Oversee monitoring and evaluation processes to measure programme impact.
- Represent ARE externally, advocating for race equality and programme growth.
