  • The Head of Systems will lead the team that will support, develop, and manage the systems that help deliver of UnLtd’s service to social entrepreneurs. From raising funds, through to award applications, from event attendance, through to mentor management, the Systems Team will work tirelessly to ensure the systems that support these and other processes, are efficient, easy to use, deliver a great service to our end users, and give UnLtd the data it needs to meet its mission. This role will be supported by and managed three direct reports.

    Key Accountabilities

    1. Leadership of the Systems Team

    • Provide vision and strategic direction on systems to UnLtd.

    • Work closely with other senior managers to ensure deployment in systems are appropriate and effective to support the delivery of UnLtd strategic visions.

    • Support, coach, and line manage three direct reports – the CRM Manager, the Systems, Support Manager, and the Data Integrity Manager – from objective setting to delivery to high standards, budget, and deadlines, enabling progression.

    • Develop annual plans and personal goals and conduct reviews and appraisals in line with the Competency Framework.

    • Develop processes for prioritisation/workload management.

    2. Strategic management and use of data

    • Work alongside Data Integrity Manager to define strategic purpose for data collection and use.

    • Develop and maintain systems that give appropriate access to accurate and meaningful data that supports the team’s activities and priorities.

    • Ensure data management best practice and quality control of data deliver high quality usable data.

    • Ensure data is being managed in compliance with GDPR, working with the Data Protection Officer to identify areas for improvement and review.

    • Act as the key point of contact within the organisation for GDPR matters and manage the relationship with the external Data Protection Officer.

    3. System improvement and integration

    • Identify areas for new or existing system improvement and development.

    • Construct and deliver on improvement plans.

    • Identify opportunities of system integration and devise and deliver integration plans.

    • Provide guidance and support to the CRM Manager specifically, assisting in prioritising workload in line with the system roadmap.

    • Assist the CRM Manager in defining a clear system vision and strategy and communicate it across the business.

    • Provide thought leadership, sharing technical advice and knowledge with all teams within the organisation, enabling each function to leverage our systems to effectively deliver against their goals.

    • Proactively identify functionalities which would help UnLtd optimise our workflows, processes, automation, reports, configuration, etc.

    • Be the internal systems “gatekeeper” responsible for the system governance: ensuring that we maintain consistency and controlling changes effectively.

    • Be accountable for the systems budget.

    4. Process Management and Development:

    • Support the System Support Manager to manage the award application process, to include the regular award round processes, feedback/rejection processes, and award payment processes.

    • Lead the team to continually review and improve processes that are managed through the systems for which the team are responsible.

    • Lead the team’s involvement in preparing the organisation for new award programmes, to include the systems, process, and data elements of programme management.

  • Social entrepreneur support is the heart and soul of UnLtd. You’ll be providing strategic direction, people leadership, governance support and thoughtful collaboration across the whole organisation as well as many different external stakeholders.
